EtherExpress™ 16 Adapter
Installing the ISA Adapter in an EISA Wkst.

You can install the EtherExpress™ ISA adapter in an EISA slot. Installation requires three steps:

  1. Install the adapter in the computer.

  2. Select the configuration settings from the EISA Configuration Utility (ECU).

  3. Configure the adapter with SoftSet.

Install the dapter in the computer

Follow the procedure on page 3 of the Installation Guide, installing the adapter in an EISA slot instead of an ISA slot.

Select configuration settings from the ECU

  1. Restart the computer. If you have a flash-equipped adapter, disable the flash program.

  4. Write down the settings you want to assign to the EtherExpress™ adapter and exit the program. (You must choose settings that aren't used by any other device in the computer.)

Configure the adapter with SoftSet

  1. Insert the Intel Driver disk into a drive, switch to that drive, and type SOFTSET.

  2. From the Main menu, select CHANGE ADAPTER CONFIGURATION.

  3. Select the configuration settings you chose in the EISA configuration program.
