To verify that the Intel® Ultra ATA Storage Driver is installed correctly, you need to look at the Hard Disk Controllers listing in Device Manager. Device Manager is located at: Start Button / Settings / Control Panel / System / Device Manager.
If the Intel Ultra ATA Storage Driver is installed correctly, one of the following descriptions will appear under the Hard Disk Controllers listing on the Device Manager screen:
Hard disk controllers
- Intel 82801BA Ultra ATA Controller
- Primary Ultra ATA Controller
- Secondary Ultra ATA Controller
OR
- Intel 82801AA Ultra ATA Controller
- Primary Ultra ATA Controller
- Secondary Ultra ATA Controller
OR
- Intel 82801AB Ultra ATA Controller
- Primary Ultra ATA Controller
- Secondary Ultra ATA Controller
