Symptom(s):

• Intel® Application Accelerator does not install on Intel® 815EM chipset
• Error: "Incompatible hardware. This install package is only compatible with Intel 800-series or compatible chipsets. Installer will now exit."

Cause:
The Intel® Application Accelerator relies on the ICH, ICH0, ICH2, ICH3-M, and ICH4 I/O controller hubs to provide performance benefits. The Intel Application Accelerator is not compatible with ICH2-M (ie. Intel® 815EM chipset) and older mobile I/O controller hubs.

Solution:
Use the IDE driver that comes with Windows*. DMA should be enabled after installing Windows with the native IDE drivers. Instructions on enabling DMA using the native Microsoft* drivers are available from Microsoft*.
