If your motherboard has a supported Intel® chipset and provides both IDE and Serial ATA connections, you can use both Serial ATA and IDE hard drives in the system. Note that Serial ATA hard drives use different data and power cables than IDE devices.

- Intel® 925X Chipset family
- Intel® 915 Chipset family
- Mobile Intel® 915 Chipset family
- Intel® 910GL Chipset
- Mobile Intel® 910GML Chipset
