Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe)
How Do I Configure and Maintain Intel® RSTe RAID Arrays?

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) has a BIOS console (Storage Manager Option ROM) that can be used with Windows* and Linux* based operating systems. The BIOS console itself is operating system independent.

For Windows* operating system configuration, there is a Graphic User Interface Utility available. The Graphic User Interface Utility is available in the driver package. The Intel® RSTe for Windows* Software User Guide describes the software and utilities, available RAID modes, and instructions for configuring and maintaining RAID arrays under Windows*. Detail on supported hardware and operating systems is covered in the overview.

For Linux* operating system configuration, the Linux* MDADM application is used. The Linux* Software User Manual covers how to properly set up and configure a system using the Linux* MDADM application for Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise. It provides steps for set up and configuration, as well as a brief overview on Linux MDADM features.
