Symptom(s):
One of the following issues occurred after performing a silent installation of the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility:
- HKLM\Software\Intel\InfInst registry key was not created
- HKLM\Software\Intel\InfInst registry key value does not = Success
Cause:
This issue will occur when your system does not meet one of the installation requirements:
- Unsupported operating system
- Unsupported chipset
Solution:
Install the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility on a system with a supported chipset and a supported operating system.
