Microsoft Windows* XP On Line Crash Analysis (OCA) presents an error message stating that the error was caused by Intel® Application Accelerator RAID Edition, Intel® Matrix Storage Manager, or iastor.sys.

Solution

Download and install the latest version of the software -- Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 7.8.

What if Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 7.8 does not support my chipset?

• Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 7.0 is the last version that supports platforms with the Intel® 82801FR I/O controller hub (ICH6R).
• Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 5.5 is the last version that supports platforms with the Intel® 82801ER I/O controller hub (ICH5R).
