The F6 installation method allows you to install a third-party mass storage driver during Windows XP* or Windows Server* 2003 setup.
It is referred to as the F6 installation method because during the text-mode phase of Windows setup, a message is displayed in the status line that says Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver.
