How do I rebuild a degraded RAID volume after a failed drive is replaced?

After replacing a failed hard drive from a redundant RAID volume (RAID 1/5/10), use the following steps to rebuild the volume.

  1. Power on the system.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Click All Programs.
  4. Click Intel® Matrix Storage Manager.
  5. Click Intel® Matrix Storage Console.
  6. Click on the View menu and select Advanced Mode.
  7. Right-click on the non-RAID hard drive in the device tree and select Rebuild to this Hard Drive.
