In order to upgrade from Intel® Application Accelerator RAID Edition version 3.x or Intel Application Accelerator version 4.x to Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 5.x, use the following steps:
- Download the latest driver (e.g. IATA50_ENU.EXE).
- Run the executable from within Windows to install the software.
- Reboot the system.
Uninstalling the older software is not required; however, uninstalling the older software will remove unnecessary items from your system (like the Intel Application Accelerator menu in Start/Program Files). The older software can be uninstalled without harm to the system because the uninstallation process does not remove critical driver files.
