Intel® Application Accelerator
Notice for Customers Using Drive Overlay Software from Ontrack*

If your system's boot drive is less than 137GB and uses a drive overlay program (DDO) to overcome a previous BIOS capacity limitation, a system hang (possibly non-recoverable) may occur when installing the Intel® Application Accelerator in anticipation of adding a second, 48-bit LBA capable, hard drive.

Note: A drive overlay program is typically identifiable as a blue banner box registered to Ontrack* which appears before the operating system loads. This program is commonly available for Seagate* and other hard drives.

If you wish to achieve 48-bit LBA support on Windows* 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition (Me), we recommend that you first update your system BIOS in order to achieve full drive capacity and then remove the DDO before installing the Intel Application Accelerator.

If you are not sure if your system uses a DDO, please contact your hard drive manufacturer. To obtain an updated system BIOS, please contact your motherboard manufacturer or place of purchase.
