An updated version of FDISK was released by Microsoft* on May 15, 2000 to address an issue where FDISK was not recognizing the full size of hard drives larger than 64GB. The issue occurred on Windows* 98 SE and Windows* 98. The updated version of FDISK can be downloaded from Microsoft's website.
Note: The updated version of FDISK is not designed to support 48-bit LBA. According to Microsoft's website
†, it does not support hard drives that are larger than 137GB (48-bit LBA hard drives). Please contact Microsoft for additional information.
