Cons: Anemic power supply puts a damper on future expansion. Included mouse and keyboard feels el cheap-o. Ridiculous weight puts a damper on mobility. Both fan and Blu-ray drive door are frustratingly noisy. Not bundled/paired with a monitor
We're not going to mince words - the XPS 435 is confusing. As the newest XPS Studio desktop, it's armed to the teeth with smokin' specs. But upon closer inspection, it looks like Dell forgot some details that would make this a well-rounded rig.

Pros: High-powered CPU and graphics. Forward-thinking design. Top-mounted tray and USB ports. A 15-month subscription to McAfee Internet Security.
Cons: Big and heavy. Could use another data drive. No hard switch for reset or power. Blu-ray is read-only.
Verdict: The Dell Studio XPS 435 does a great job with multimedia tasks like encoding video and editing photos, and does very well with 3D games. All that power costs you less than $1,800 (under $2,000 with monitor).
