To effectively manage a massive number of distributed IT assets, Taiwan's Mega International Commercial Bank (MICB) needed to pursue a Predictive Enterprise strategy that would let it sense, predict, and act on PC issues across its branches. MICB turned to Intel® vPro™ technology, which it sees as the gold standard in IT asset management for Taiwan's financial industry.

MICB wanted a solution with IT manageability features at the PC hardware level. Hardware-based PC management capabilities let the bank better handle routine PC administration, bypassing the hassle and expense of on-site technicians and regular maintenance.

"In choosing Intel vPro technology, we not only considered performance issues, but also investment protection issues," says Huang Yonggui, assistant manager and head of the bank's information office. "Intel vPro technology is a forward-looking architecture that will serve MICB well into the next decade."
