Close-Up on Beijing International Airport
Read moreWith the 2008 Summer Olympics coming, China will welcome an unprecedented number of tourists, businessmen, athletes, and visiting officials-all of whom will come through Beijing Capital International Airport.
To prepare, the airport has undergone extensive expansion including building a new terminal. Looking for maximum service efficiency, the airport adopted a Predictive Enterprise computing vision for its IT infrastructure that can respond to its expanding business environment and allow it to sense, predict, and act on current and future technology needs. The airport chose Intel® multi-core architecture to form the backbone of the IT infrastructure for its new terminal.
"The high-end performance of Intel® Core™2 Duo processor technology will allow Beijing International Airport's Terminal 3 to welcome visitors to China with unparalleled efficiency," explains Jin Hui, general manager of the Information Department, Airport Expansion Project Division, for Beijing Capital International Airport.
