Intel Science Talent Search
Overview

Intel and the Society for Science & the Public are proud to recognize the extraordinary young men and women who represent the next generation of our nation's innovators at the annual Intel Science Talent Search.

The Intel Science Talent Search celebrates the nation's best and brightest young minds, as high school seniors submit an original research project and have it recognized by a national jury of highly regarded professional scientists. Every year, over 1,600 U.S. high school seniors enter the Intel Science Talent Search, displaying their scientific skill through original research.

The 40 young men and women chosen as Intel Science Talent Search finalists travel to Washington, D.C. compete for over $500,000 in awards and scholarships, including the top prize of a $100,000 scholarship, that support the students' pursuit of careers in science and math.

Previous Science Talent Search Finalists set the bar high, going on to become Nobel Laureates and Fields Medalists, among other prestigious recognitions. To celebrate Intel's 10th year sponsoring the Science Talent Search, Intel caught up with several alumni from the inaugural year of the Intel Science Talent Search. Learn more about what these alumni are doing today.
