Richard Malinowski is Vice President of the Mobility Group and General Manager of the Client Components Group, responsible for the development of Intel Architecture client platform components and managing the client chipset business at Intel Corporation.
A 19-year veteran of the PC chipset industry, Malinowski has been managing teams developing Intel chipsets since 1994 and LSI Logic Corporation chipset products from 1988 to 1994.
Malinowski joined Intel in 1994 as the design manager of Intel® 430FX (Triton) chipset at PCI Components Division (PCD). Intel® 430FX was the main ramp vehicle for the Intel® Pentium® processor platforms and established Intel as the major player in the chipset market. In 1996 he was promoted to director of chipset engineering at PCD, managing engineering teams responsible for the development of all Intel client chipsets. In 2005 Malinowski was promoted to the position of General Manager of Intel Chipset Group, responsible for Intel client chipset business and named Mobility Group Vice President.
Malinowski received his master's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Szczecin, Poland in 1981. He received an additional master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Davis in 1998. He has four patents awarded in the area of memory system design and cache design.
