Elliot Garbus is vice president of the Software and Solutions Group and general manager of the Developer Relations Division. He leads a worldwide organization that engages with Intel software partners to accelerate the adoption of Intel platforms and technology.

Garbus has led a transformation of Intel's independent software vendor programs, moving to a Web 2.0 model to build the Intel software developer community.

Garbus joined Intel in 1988 as a software applications engineer. He has held management positions in processor and platform architecture, new product planning and application engineering. During the 1990s he worked in a variety of roles in the IO Processor Division and the Microprocessor Product Group. He holds 15 patents relating to microprocessor system design.

Prior to joining Intel, Garbus worked as a systems design engineer developing hardware and software for telephone systems.

Garbus graduated from the University of Rochester in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
