Frank D. Yeary

Frank D. Yeary is vice chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, where he advises the chancellor and his senior staff on strategic planning and financial issues important to the campus. He is also guiding the university's long-range financial strategy and providing financial expertise for global research and education partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Yeary retired in 2008 as global head of mergers and acquisitions at Citigroup after nearly 25 years in finance. He has served as a strategic and financial advisor to senior executives and board members of leading global corporations, educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

Yeary received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in history and in economics. He is a trustee of the board of WNYC Public Radio and of the University of California, Berkeley Foundation.
