Intel Board Promotes Four To Senior Vice President, Elects Four Others As Corporate Officers

Chief Marketing and Technology Officers Also Named

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 1, 2005 – Intel Corporation today announced its board of directors has promoted four people to serve as senior vice presidents and elected four others as corporate officers. The company also named new chief marketing and technology officers. The moves underscore the individuals’ key roles in supporting the company’s strategy to develop complete technology platforms based on Intel ingredients.

Intel’s board promoted corporate vice presidents Anand Chandrasekher, Eric Kim, David Perlmutter and Bruce Sewell to become senior vice presidents of the corporation, and has elected Robert Crooke, Shmuel (Mooly) Eden, Renee James and Brian Krzanich as corporate vice presidents. The company also announced it has named Kim to the position of chief marketing officer (CMO), and selected Senior Fellow Justin Rattner to serve as chief technology officer (CTO).

“As Intel continues to deliver technology platforms with increasing value and usefulness to consumers and business users, these key individuals are increasingly responsible for the execution of this strategy,” said Paul Otellini, Intel president and CEO. “With these new elections and promotions, we are recognizing that they play extremely important roles helping take Intel to its next level of success.”

The Intel board of directors has elected the following people to the position of senior vice president:

Chandrasekher, 42, is senior vice president and general manager, Sales and Marketing Group. He and Kim are jointly responsible for all sales and marketing operations worldwide. Chandrasekher has been with Intel since 1988.

Kim, 51, is senior vice president and general manager, Sales and Marketing Group, and CMO. With Chandrasekher, he is jointly responsible for all sales and marketing operations worldwide. Kim joined Intel in 2004.

Perlmutter, 52, is senior vice president and general manager, Mobility Group. He is jointly responsible for the design, development and marketing of Intel’s solutions for the mobile computing segment. Perlmutter joined Intel in 1980 and is based in Haifa, Israel.

Sewell, 47, is senior vice president and general counsel and is responsible for legal and government affairs worldwide. He joined Intel in 1995 and is based in Santa Clara.

The newly elected corporate vice presidents include the following individuals:

Crooke, 42, is vice president and general manager, Business Client Group (BCG). In this role he is charged with directing Intel’s vision for delivering innovative business client platforms and is responsible for the definition, development and marketing of Intel’s business desktop platform solutions. Crooke joined Intel in 1989.

Eden, 54, is vice president and general manager, Mobile Platforms Group. In this capacity, he is responsible for the architecture, development and marketing of Intel’s solutions for the mobile computing segment. Eden joined Intel in 1982.

James, 41, is vice president and general manager, Software and Solutions Group. She is responsible for working with industry partners to ensure compatibility with Intel platforms and components. James joined Intel in 1987.

Krzanich, 45, is vice president and general manager, Assembly/Test. Krzanich is responsible for all aspects of Intel’s assembly and test operations worldwide. He joined Intel in 1982.

In addition, Rattner, 57, has been named CTO. Rattner is Senior Fellow and director, Corporate Technology Group. He is responsible for leading Intel’s microprocessor, communications and systems technology labs and Intel Research. Rattner joined Intel in 1973. He was named Intel’s fourth Fellow in 1988 and was among the first group of individuals selected as Senior Fellows in 2002.
