Benchmark description
sedan_4M workload with ANSYS* FLUENT* 12.0.15 and SPECapc* for Solidworks 2007. Actual performance may vary. Please see www.spec.org and www.fluent.com for more information on the workloads. Jobs/day measurement calculated by dividing a full 24 hour day (86,400 seconds) by the average parallel run times in seconds.

MD Nastran* R3 Performance
-
Benchmark description
MD Nastran* benchmarks representing 6 solutions sequences including static analysis, normal modes analysis with ACMS, direct frequency response, modal frequency response and non-linear analysis using serial and DMP execution.
-
SPECapc* for UGS NX* 4
-
Benchmark description
SPECapc* for UGS NX*4 uses data intensive model of a SUV body that contains more than 33,000 display lists and the transmission model comprises 84,000 display lists. Please see www.spec.org for more information on the workloads.
-
SPECapc* for SolidWorks 2007*
-
Benchmark description
SPECapc* for SolidWorks 2007* is designed to represent a day in the life of a typical SolidWorks 2007 user. The benchmark uses different sized CAD/CAM solid models, the largest of which is an engine model with 3.13 million vertices. Please refer www.spec.org for more information on the workloads.

This groundbreaking, intelligent workstation technology features:
- Intelligent performance technology that adapts to megatasking workloads, allocating more performance to demanding applications when available.
- Automated energy efficiency that scales energy usage to the workload to achieve optimal performance/watt.
- Flexible expandability that supports more memory and dual-graphic adapters for better visualization experience.
Performance tests and ratings are measured using specific computer systems and/or components and reflect the approximate performance of Intel® products as measured by those tests. Any difference in system hardware, software design, or configuration may affect actual performance. Buyers should consult other sources of information to evaluate the performance of systems or components they are considering purchasing. For more information on performance tests and on the performance of Intel products, visit www.intel.com/performance/index.htm or call (U.S.) 1-800-628-8686 or 1-916-356-3104. Relative performance is calculated by assigning a baseline value of 1.0 to one benchmark result, and then dividing the actual benchmark result for the baseline platform into each of the specific benchmark results of each of the other platforms, and assigning them a relative performance number that correlates with the performance improvements reported.
Relative performance for each benchmark is calculated by taking the actual benchmark result for the first platform tested and assigning it a value of 1.0 as a baseline. Relative performance for the remaining platforms tested was calculated by dividing the actual benchmark result for the baseline platform into each of the specific benchmark results of each of the other platforms and assigning them a relative performance number that correlates with the performance improvements reported.

Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel® HT Technology) requires a computer system with a processor supporting Intel® HT Technology and an Intel® HT Technology-enabled chipset, BIOS, and operating system. Performance will vary depending on the specific hardware and software you use. For more information including details on which processors support Intel® HT Technology, see www.intel.com/products/ht/hyperthreading_more.htm.
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology requires a platform with a processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology capability. Intel Turbo Boost Technology performance varies depending on hardware, software, and overall system configuration. Check with your platform manufacturer on whether your system delivers Intel Turbo Boost Technology. For more information, see www.intel.com/technology/turboboost/.
Intel® processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. See www.intel.com/products/processor_number/ for details.
