- Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile Processors
Previous generations of embedded Intel® processors may not be supported by Intel. Refer to the comprehensive embedded processor and chipset roadmap for products backed by Intel’s 7-year extended lifecycle support.
OVERVIEW
Intel® Core™2 Duo mobile processors are based on Intel® Core™ microarchitecture and are designed to meet the needs of performance-intensive, low-power embedded applications that require graphics, such as point-of-service terminals, ATMs, gaming platforms, and systems for industrial control and automation, digital security surveillance, and medical imaging. Many of the Intel Core 2 Duo processors feature 45nm process technology, which delivers even greater energy-efficient performance and are offered in a range of thermal design power (TDP) specifications, ranging from 35 watts to 10 watts. Several of the processors are offered in a 956 µFC-BGA (small form factor) package to help meet complex design challenges.
The Intel Core 2 Duo processors are validated with a variety of chipsets, including the Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset, Mobile Intel® GS45 Express Chipset, Intel® 5100 Memory Controller Hub Chipset, Intel® 3100 Chipset, Mobile Intel® GME965 Express Chipset, Mobile Intel® 945GME Chipset, and Intel® E7520 Chipset, to provide a breadth of design choices.
