WIRELESS CORE NETWORK
Control and User Plane on a Single Platform
With control (signaling) and user plane (packet processing) workloads running on Intel® architecture, network operators can deploy software-defined network elements that support multiple standards (GSM, 3G, EPC). This approach minimizes operational costs by providing the flexibility to easily reconfigure network functionality and services, implement power management and optimize load balancing. A single platform streamlines development and testing, thus reducing cost and time-to-market for wireless equipment vendors, and enabling faster service deployment for network operators.
