How is it different?
- With ad hoc mode, you need to disconnect from the Internet to connect to a single Wi-Fi device
- Intel® My WiFi Technology stays connected to the Internet and can run up to eight additional consumer electronics device connections
And, best of all, devices simply need standard Wi-Fi to connect.
What do I need?
- Hardware: You need an Intel® laptop with an Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300, an Intel® WiFi Link 5100 or an Intel® WiFi Link 1000 adapter
- Software: Microsoft Windows Vista* or Microsoft Windows 7*
