General Info - Visiting the Intel Museum
Where is the museum located? 2200 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95052 For driving directions and map, visit www.intel.com/museum/exhibit/santa_clara/visit/newpark.htm
When is the museum open? Museum and museum store hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
Is the museum open to the public? Yes
What is the admission price? Free
Is parking available? Yes, free parking is available for cars and buses.
Do you have a cafeteria open to the public or a picnic area? No, however a list of local restaurants is available upon request.
Can I take photographs or video tape in the museum? Yes.
 
Tours and Programs
Do you offer audio tours? Free self-guided audio tours are available in Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean or Spanish.
Do you offer school and youth group field trip programs? Field trip programs, guided and self-guided, are available for Kindergarten-12th grades, youth and college groups by advance reservation.
How do I book a school or youth group field trip? Field trip programs can be booked online or by calling 408-765-0503. It is recommended that you book 4-6 weeks in advance.
Can I tour an Intel manufacturing facility and see chips being made? Due to the ultra clean environments required in manufacturing access is not permitted. However, within the museum you can view live video of these clean room areas.
 
About the Intel Museum
Why does Intel have a museum? The Intel Museum collects, preserves and exhibits Intel corporate history for the purpose of increasing employee, customer and public awareness of Intel innovations, technologies and branding in an interactive and educational manner.
What can I expect to see at the museum? The Intel Museum showcases Intel's history and operations through unique exhibits and presentations designed to let you explore Intel® technology first hand.
Is the museum appropriate for children? Yes, there are many interactive exhibits which children can explore. For example, children can write their names in binary code, learn how different size files move over a network, or try on a bunny (cleanroom) suit.
Is there a museum store? The Intel Museum store has a wide selection of merchandise including educational kits and Intel logo'd merchandise.
Are there other Intel museums? There are other Intel sites that have Visitor Centers, but only the Intel site in Santa Clara, California has a museum. Visitor centers showcase exhibits about Intel history and operations and are located in China, Ireland, Israel, New Mexico, and Oregon. You can take a virtual tour of these sites by going to Intel visitor centers.

What is the Intel Corporate Archives? The Intel Corporate Archives preserve the history of Intel. Online access is available to view the most popular historical documents and images at Intel corporate archives. Copies of data sheets, application notes and photos of historical products can be requested at: http://www.intel.com/museum/archives/request.htm
Does the Intel Corporate Archives accept external donations? Yes, you can make donations to the Intel Corporate Archives. Please note that the Intel Corporate Archives does not offer compensation, nor provide tax credits for donations.
