What cool opportunity have I had since working at Intel?
Last year my project team got the opportunity to go to Israel for a week. Not only was the face-to-face contact valuable to the success of our project, it was an awesome experience for everyone! We explored Haifa, walked around the beach, visited the Bahai Gardens, and tried their local food — it was amazing!
What's the most outrageous experience I've had while working at Intel?
Parking Lot Olympics! Each year our Great Place to Work Team hosts a relay/obstacle course in our parking lot where teams compete for the fastest time. We do things like football toss, hoola-hoop, whistling while eating 2 crackers, etc. Winners even get a cool trophy!
How do I socialize at Intel?
There are various employee groups at Intel where you can network and meet other people with common interests. When I first came to Intel, I joined RCGnet (Recent College Graduate network) and WIN (Women at Intel Network) to expand my network and meet other people.
What do I do when I'm NOT at work?
I'm a huge Oregon Ducks fan, plus I'm always looking for a new place (park, event) to take my dog. I also love sports (watching and playing), running, playing tennis, snow boarding, doing cardio, and of course spending time with family and friends.
What's the coolest gadget that I've bought lately or would like to buy?
I can't wait for the Blackberry Storm* to come out. I'm in the market for a new cell phone and this will be my next cool purchase. The coolest gadget that I've purchased so far is, hands down, my Apple MacBook*.
