"At Intel, the people are great, the company's values reflect my own values, I get to work with the coolest "toys", and I feel like I really have the chance to make an impact."

What cool opportunity or project have I had since working at Intel?
By far the coolest thing I've worked on is my current project, Larrabee, an all-new graphics architecture. It's a new focus for Intel, and you can feel it in the atmosphere around here. It's an amazing chance to work closely with people who are experts in their fields and learn from them directly.
What's the biggest misconception that I think people have about working at Intel?
I think a lot of people are intimidated by the expertise of the people working here and the thought of not being able to live up to the same standard. While it's true that the people here are really smart, they're also very willing to mentor recent college graduates (RCG) and make sure they have the resources to be successful in their tasks.
Do I participate in any Intel networks or groups?
I participate in the Oregon RCG network and the Intel Hiking Club. Since I'm not from Oregon originally, being part of these groups helps me to get to know some of the sites around Portland that I probably wouldn't have known about otherwise.
What do I do when I'm NOT at work?
I have a couple hobbies that I do on a regular basis (aside from computer games!). I take horseback riding lessons and have even gone to a couple shows. I also enjoy photography and cycling. I bike to work most days, even in the rain!
What's the coolest website I've discovered?
Ted.org has a huge collection of recorded talks from a wide range of subjects. Every one that I've seen has been interesting.
What's the most adventurous thing I've ever done?
Studying abroad in Costa Rica. My university didn't offer a study abroad program to any Spanish-speaking countries for engineers, so I had to find my own program to join and make all the arrangements.
