What do I do at Intel?
I work in Applied Research and Development, Computational Lithography. In my job I develop software that enables modeling of the lithography process and printing of CPUs onto silicon.
How do I make an impact at Intel?
The software I help develop is critical for manufacturing chips. If my team does a lousy job, then we will not have the high yield in manufacturing that Intel is known for.
Why do I think Intel is a great place to work?
I had the opportunity to work on important projects in such a very time at Intel! I started working on one of my projects the day after I got my laptop. I really like to work on projects that are challenging and make me look forward to come to work.
What do I do when I'm NOT at work?
I go to the gym at least five days a week and hike around beautiful Oregon with my colleagues every Saturday (except when it's raining). I also watch a lot of movies (average of 1 movie a day) and have a personal collection of over 1000 DVDs. Whenever I get a chance I like to travel and take lot of pictures. My flickr* account has about 28,000 photos! And, I still keep up with my research by reviewing journal and conference articles.
What's the coolest website I've discovered?
There are a few sites that I visit regularly, including news.google.com, YouTube, Engadget, Gizmodo, Digg, flickr, The Onion, and Cricinfo. I also watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report episodes online.
What's the coolest gadget I've bought lately or want to buy?
I keep buying new gadgets all the time. The coolest at the moment would be my T-Mobile G1*, the new MacBook*, and Canon* dSLR camera. There are a lot of gadgets I would like to purchase. The Canon* 5d Mark II would be at the top of my list.
