What is a cool opportunity that I’ve had while working at Intel?

Back in 2004, I was selected to start up a Chipsets Factory in Costa Rica as a Process Engineer for a specific manufacturing assembly/test area. That opportunity gave me the chance to tremendously increase my professional career, live and work in Asia, meet a lot of Intel employees worldwide, expand my knowledge, visit several Intel factories in different countries, get to know different cultures and make so many friends around the world.

Do I participate in any Intel networks or volunteer events?

I do volunteer at Intel. I've had several good experiences when volunteering on community projects. It's awesome to see the children faces when having fun with us or even better when teaching classes to school kids and see how they appreciate you. Participating in green and environmental community projects also makes me feel realized. That really makes the difference!

What has been my career path at Intel?

I joined Intel in 1998 as a Manufacturing Technician and then became an Equipment Technician in 2000. In 2002, I joined the Assembly/Finish Engineering team as an Equipment Engineer. In 2004, I became a Finish Chipsets Transfer Engineer and started up the Costa Rica FCBGA (Flip Chip Ball Grid Array) Factory. In 2010, I headed to Arizona for an assignment to work on the FCBGA11 development. And now, I am a Factory Materials Engineer in Costa Rica.

What do I do when I’m NOT at work?

I normally like to dance, play basketball, cook, read the Bible, and spend time with my family. And, I am currently studying Portuguese.

What's my favorite holiday destination?

I really like La Fortuna, San Carlos since it's a very relaxing and quiet place. However, I would love to go to Russia and Dubai or both! Russia seems to be a nice place due to its history and infrastructure, but Dubai is an amazing new city full of new engineering and architectural works.

What’s the most adventurous thing I've done?

There are several! I rafted in the Grand Canyon, I went diving on Bali Island in Indonesia, I ate "questionable and exotic" food in Beijing, China, and I spent a month in Europe attending the Germany 2006 Soccer World Cup and visited England, France, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic and Holland.
