"People think that Intel is just a big corporate environment that only deals in technology. We have large support departments too, such as finance and HR. There is opportunity for everyone to work and move across teams and countries."

What is a cool opportunity that I’ve had while working at Intel?
I developed a new reporting tool with a developer in the U.S. that the whole team uses; it saves the team over 400 hours during each month-end cycle. It was a cool project because it was not numbers based, and allowed me to explore the technical side of things and to work with people in the U.S. and Israel.
What networks or communities do I participate in at Intel?
I am part of the Intel Swindon netball team which is great fun. We practice on a court that was painted in the car park and we play against other companies for fun. I am also part of a local team that is looking to invigorate the finance internship program; this allows me to meet and work with lots of new people.
What would I tell a prospective employee about working here?
Intel has a very relaxed atmosphere and encourages people to try new ideas and take risks. They support you with career and education moves as well as encouraging employees to develop.
What do I do when I’m NOT at work?
I enjoy shopping (as does any girl!) and traveling. I like to visit new countries and experience different cultures. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going for meals.
If I could live and work abroad for a year where would I go?
I would go to the U.S. It is such a massive country with lots to see and Intel is based there. It would be interesting to see Intel’s headquarters.
What’s my favorite holiday destination?
My favorite would be Mombasa in Kenya. It was the most relaxing holiday, with white sands, clear sea — picture perfect!
