What is a cool opportunity that I've had while working at Intel?

I worked with Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad processors showing how they scaled well with music creativity application. We got some "Intel" musicians together and did some recording and played live using just a quad core PC and cool software. Music is my hobby and to be able to do something at work that relates to my hobby and help the company at the same time is great.

What volunteer events have I participated in while working at Intel?

Intel has great local community presence helping out a lot of worthwhile causes. I help one of our local special needs schools with their website. Intel also helped me by donating a brand new laptop to help with fund raising.

What has my career been since working at Intel?

I started working for Intel supporting their networking products, I was third level support. I then moved into technical pre-sales showing demos and presenting on the same products. I then did work on our consumer PC products supporting major direct customers. I now work in demand creation and influencing, which entails creating, presenting and meeting our retail customers.

What do I do when I'm not at work?

I have a family and we do a lot together. My other main passion is playing electric guitar, I have been playing for a good number of years.

What's the coolest Website or Blog that I've discovered recently?

Well, showing my age now, but I read the Brian May (guitarist for the rock band Queen) blog a lot. After an amazing music career he went back to complete his PhD in astrophysics he started nearly 40 years ago.

What's the coolest gadget that I would like to buy?

I would love a nice audio mixer that interacts with the software. You move a fader graphic on the screen. Total gadget to me!
