InterView
What's a cool opportunity or project I've had while working at Intel?
I was in Ireland as the Equipment Installation Manager for a one-year assignment. I was able to get the job done including developing the local new employees and suppliers for the first Greenfield project in Ireland, which help ensure the success of the business operation.
What's the most fun experience I've had while working at Intel?
When I participated in the Greenfield new site startup, it was fun to travel and experience the local culture and history.
Do I participate in any Intel networks or groups?
I'm on the board of the International Club of Dalian for making this city a better place for expatriates to live. I also volunteer in local schools and churches. It is good to give back to the community we live in and to share our resources to help others. I also volunteer with the English Corner with local employees.
Why do I think Intel is a great place to work?
Intel provides a great learning environment to get things done effectively and to help employees develop people skills that will also benefit them personally.
What do I do when I'm NOT at work?
I volunteer with my local community and churches, and I spend time on being a Chinese antique collector on porcelain, painting and calligraphy. I also read books, visit museums and cities to enhance my knowledge of Chinese history and culture.
If I could live and work abroad for a year, where would I go?
This is the third time I've come to live and work in China. I would like to live in China because I can experience the ancient culture and history while participating in the changes of China. I think I would pick a rural area to experience a different kind of life and to help the low income students there.
What's my favorite holiday destination?
My favorite was the Silk Road tour. I was able to share the moment with my wife and enjoyed all the culture, history and different people in many places of past and present culture.
