The Advantages of Using a PC

Want to hear about the advantages of using a PC? PC in this context refers to any computer running with a Windows operating system. One of the main things people like about PC’s is how easy they are to upgrade. PC’s have been around for a while, and advanced users, especially, enjoy having the freedom to install or upgrade their own components. This allows them to create systems that are truly custom. While a Mac can also be upgraded, the process is often easier, faster and less expensive if you’re working with a PC. Because so many companies produce hardware for the PC, the competition and economy of skill can bring prices down. When it comes to software availability, PC wins again, hands down. There’s simply more of it, it’s easier to find, and just like the hardware, it tends to be more affordable. Some software for PC’s, known as freeware, or shareware, can be downloaded from the internet at no cost at all. The last major advantage in using a PC relates to gaming. When you search the market, you’ll quickly find that many game titles were originally intended for use with a PC. And remember what I mentioned before about advance users? Well, that description fits hard core gamers in spades. If you need the newest processor on the market the day it comes out, and you can explain what the term “over-clocking” means, than the PC platform is probably right up your alley.
