Intel University and Training
Intel employees can learn and apply new skills at Intel University, an internal training organization offering over 7,000 career development courses. Here, employees can choose from a wide range of courses taught in a classroom setting or online, ranging from developing new management skills to strengthening culture and values to enhancing personal organization. Through Intel University course offerings employees gain knowledge and learn critical skills to assist them personally, as well as help them to excel professionally. Intel University provides a rare opportunity for employees to benefit from the University's mission: to research, develop, deliver and embed key organization and people development practices worldwide that positively impact Intel's business.
In support of Intel's mission, objectives and values, skills training is also provided to Intel employees. Employee training covers a broad range of topics, from basic end-user PC courses to general skills (i.e. resume writing and presentation skills) to factory specific information (i.e. wafer processes or machine maintenance).
Training for employees is carried out through several different methods, such as in-class instructor-led courses, self-paced tutorials (videos or PC-based), vendor-led classes, or Web-based instruction.
