| | Programs: Sales and Marketing Rotation |
| |
If you're a technical graduate interested in a sales or marketing position, the two-year Sales and Marketing Rotation Program could be an ideal fit for you.
Building on your current technical knowledge, you'll gain accelerated business experience, attend worldwide conferences, and enhance your interpersonal
skills with ongoing networking opportunities. You'll also develop a solid understanding of the computing industry, platform strategies, and our target markets.
Providing the foundation for the Sales and Marketing Rotation Program are three tracks designed to appeal to a variety of technical sales and marketing interests:
Each program follows a similar path. The first year is spent in technical marketing positions, followed by a year
focused on account responsibilities, and culminating in a placement with a field sales office or a technical marketing group. The SMRP rotations help you
build a comprehensive knowledge base of Intel's products and services, key initiatives, business models, and organizational structure, while developing
your technical expertise and mastering excellent business communication skills.
Select the TSE track to develop the skills needed to become a successful field sales engineer (FSE). Begin with two
6-month factory rotations in various product marketing, platform marketing, and geographic marketing groups. Then, for the next 12 months, you will use
your technical knowledge to provide an excellent customer experience in a field sales office. With this track, you'll gain a solid understanding of Intel
business practices and how they support product life cycles and customer interaction.
As part of the TSE track, you'll work on many challenging projects that provide excellent opportunities for career development and making your mark on Intel. You can:
- Build strong relationships with Intel customers while advocating Intel's products and platform strategies.
- Communicate customer issues to the appropriate factory contacts as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
- Negotiate and close product sales with a variety of customers.
With the MTE track you'll gain insight into Intel's business practices, while honing your technical marketing skills.
In the first phase of the program, you'll select two 6-month rotations in different marketing and program management positions—exposing you to a variety of
key business vantage points within Intel. During the second phase, you'll work in a field sales office successfully integrating your knowledge of Intel
business processes with customer account responsibilities. Through this hands-on experience, you’ll gain a prime learning opportunity about industry
environments and a solid understanding of the most effective marketing strategies and tools.
As an MTE, you will integrate your marketing skills with your passion for technology. This dynamic combination offers a boundless choice of career opportunities. You will:
- Define innovative products and platforms that will change the way we live, work and play.
- Facilitate new products that help humanize computing and improving people's lives.
- Perform competitive analysis to maintain our technical leadership.
- Develop technical demos that showcase the next generation of technology.
- Oversee OEM marketing initiatives and solutions that better meet the needs of people around the world.
Choose the TAE track to leverage your strong technical background and develop the skills to become a dynamic
field application engineer (FAE). As a FAE, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of product and platform sales. To set you up for success,
the TAE track reinforces your technical knowledge with two 6-month rotations learning the latest Intel technology. Adding customer interaction, you'll
then work 12 months as a FAE with your own customer accounts.
As a TAE, you'll be involved with many challenging technical projects that provide excellent opportunities for making your mark at Intel. With your passion for technology, you'll:
- Reinforce your technical knowledge as an engineer through Intel architecture training.
- Create an excellent customer experience through successful interaction with clients and efficient marketing tools.
- Learn about customer account responsibilities.
