Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, as well as its commercial and financial center, is often called the "Little Big City." It is a business-focused city that also offers an array of art and culture. Zurich's cultural options include more than 30 museums and art galleries, as well as the opera, orchestras and theatres. At the Paradeplatz, worldwide banks, elegant shops and boutiques line the street and share space with many nightspots and cafes. Zurich's "Old Town" area extends along the River Limmat, where there are many interesting locations to explore. Zurich's most famous sights include the Fraumünster and Grossmünster minsters, facing one another across the river. Lindenhof, the site of a Roman customs post founded in 15 B.C., is a pleasant area for viewing the city.
