Intel's benefits plans are designed to keep employees—our most important asset—healthy and productive. Our benefits are generous and personalized, in many cases letting employees choose the options that are right for themselves and their family.
Intel Switzerland provides employees with private health and dental insurance, paying half of the coverage cost up to a maximum of SFR100 per month.
Accident Insurance Intel provides accident insurance for all employees in Switzerland. This plan provides worldwide coverage on a 24-hours-basis (during business and private time).
Business Traveler Accident Insurance In addition to basic life insurance and basic accidental death insurance, Intel Switzerland provides business traveler accident coverage for all employees. Business traveler accident coverage equals five times an employees' annual salary up to $1 million (U.S.).
Business Traveler Medical Plan Intel provides medical coverage to full-time and part-time Swiss employees at no cost, for occasions when they are traveling on business outside of Switzerland (up to a maximum of 90 days). Coverage includes medically necessary accident and sickness expenses occurring during business travel. Full plan details and expenses are available upon hiring by Intel and verification of business travel.
Intel Switzerland provides a defined benefit pension plan by Basler Versicherung, in compliance with Swiss government regulations. Pension-able pay is 1.67 percent of annual pay (base salary plus three years average of actual commission or bonus pay). Retirement age for men is 65 and for women is 62.
Vacation Time
Intel Switzerland employees are entitled to paid vacation leave of up to 24 days, depending on their length of employment.
Extended Leave Program
Employees may choose to save three to seven days of vacation per year for a period of five years, or until they have been part of the program for five years. The employee then has a two-year timeframe in which to use this extended leave time.
