Intel's manufacturing site in the province of Cavite is located in the Gateway Business Park in Barangay Javalera, General Trias City. This world-class Intel assembly and testing facility provides customers with integrated circuits known as Flash memory, as well as microprocessors and chipsets that are marketed worldwide.
Flash memory is widely known for its application in cellular phones, and is also an important component in computer manufacturing, automotive control units, digital cameras, photocopiers, games and other household applications. Microprocessors and chipsets are the brains and power of computers. In addition to its assembly and test facilities for Flash memory, microprocessors and chipsets, Intel Cavite is involved in product design, assembly technology development, test technology development and additional product engineering ownership.
Intel Philippines has received numerous awards from various government bodies — most recently, the Philippine Quality Award from the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan Award from the Department of Labor and Employment for manufacturing excellence and safety performance.
The Cavite site offers ample parking and storage facilities spread out over 20 hectares of prime land, as well as a gym, cafeteria, an ATM machine and nearby convenience stores. Intel Cavite also features sports courts, laundry and dry cleaning services and even organized clubs such as the Intel Choral Group. Intel Cavite has been the country's top exporter for the past five years.
