| | Programs: Sales and Marketing Rotation |
| |
If you are a technical graduate interested in a sales or marketing position, the two and a half-year Sales and Marketing Rotation Program could be an
ideal choice for you.
Building on your current technical knowledge, you can gain accelerated business experience, attend worldwide conferences, and enhance your interpersonal
skills with networking opportunities. You will also develop a solid understanding of the computing industry, platform strategies, and our target markets.
There are three tracks in the Sales and Marketing Rotation Program. They are designed to appeal to a variety of technical sales and marketing interests:
Each program follows a similar path. The first year is spent in technical marketing positions. The second year focuses on account responsibilities. The final year will immerse you in field sales and marketing with a technical marketing group. SMRP rotations help you build a comprehensive knowledge base of Intel's products, initiatives, and organizational structure. And you will develop your technical expertise and master excellent business communication skills.
Select the TSE track to develop the skills you need to become a successful field sales engineer (FSE). Begin with three 6-month factory rotations in various product marketing, platform marketing, and geographic marketing groups; then for the next 12 months, you will combine your technical knowledge with excellent customer training in a field sales office. With this track, you gain solid understanding of Intel business practices and how they support product life cycles.
As part of the TSE track, you'll work on many challenging projects that provide excellent opportunities for career development. You can:
- Build strong relationships with Intel customers.
- Communicate customer issues to factory contacts as part of our continuous improvement efforts.
- Negotiate and finalize product sales with a variety of customers.
With the MTE track you can gain insight into Intel's business practices, while improving your technical marketing skills. In the first phase
of the program, you select two or three 6-month rotations in different marketing and program management positions. During the second phase,
you'll work in a field sales office to combine your knowledge of Intel business processes with customer account responsibilities. This hands-on
experience provides you with an understanding of the most effective marketing strategies and tools.
As an MTE, you can combine your marketing skills with your passion for technology. This dynamic mix offers a wide range of career choices. You will:
- Define innovative products and platforms that will change the way we live, work, and play.
- Facilitate new product introductions that help "humanize" computing.
- Perform competitive analyses to maintain our technical leadership.
- Develop technical demos that showcase the next generation of technology.
- Oversee marketing initiatives that meet the needs of people around the world.
Choose the TAE track to take make the most of a strong technical background. As a field application engineer (FAE), you will be responsible for the technical aspects of product and platform sales. To ensure your success, the TAE track reinforces your technical knowledge with two 9-month rotations where you will learn the latest Intel technology. You will then work 12 months as an FAE with your own customer accounts.
As a TAE, you will be involved with many challenging technical projects that provide excellent opportunities to:
- Reinforce your engineering knowledge through Intel architecture training.
- Create an excellent customer experience by using efficient marketing tools.
- Learn about customer account responsibilities.
