Intel Japan offers comprehensive medical and dental coverage for eligible employees in Japan and while traveling, assuring employees quality health care. Medical and dental benefits are available for eligible dependents; Intel and employees share the cost of employee and dependent health care coverage.
Retirement Medical Coverage
Eligible employees of Intel Japan can receive medical coverage up to two years after retiring; the employee is responsible for the total premium.
Eligible Intel Japan employees are provided with life insurance coverage to provide for their family's economic well-being at the time of their natural or accidental death. Supplemental coverage is provided for accidental death that may occur while on business travel. Permanent disability coverage is also provided.
Vacation Time
Intel Japan employees are offered paid vacation (up to 22 days depending on length of service) plus a summer vacation of 3 days each year.
Vacation Bank
Intel Japan employees may deposit unused paid vacation (up to four days a year) into a vacation "bank," which can be used, after seven years of participation in the program, to take an extended vacation.
Public Holidays
Intel Japan employees are entitled to 16 paid statutory holidays per year.
Employee's Club
Intel Japan provides an annual club membership subsidy to employees that can be spent on sports athletic clubs, dancing, movies, and more.
Recreation
Employees of Intel Japan may utilize various recreational facilities at a discount.
Cafeteria
Employees at Intel Tsukuba can use the subsidized company cafeteria Monday through Friday for breakfast (snack only), lunch and supper.
Housing
Intel Japan employees may enjoy a special allowance of up to JPY 30,000 monthly to assist with housing expenses.
Commuting Allowance
All Intel Japan employees are eligible for Intel-paid commuter passes.
