Intel Ireland provides a choice of comprehensive medical plans that assure cost-effective and flexible health care for employees and their eligible dependents (spouse/significant other, and children).
Intel Ireland's retirement plan is unique; it combines a defined benefit/pension guarantee based on final earnings and length of service, and a discretionary payment made by Intel to individual pension funds. To further improve retirement savings, employees may make additional voluntary tax-free contributions.
Spouse/Dependent Pension In the event of an employee's death, pensions are provided for his/her spouse, and for up to three dependent children.
Death in Service Benefit Intel Ireland provides a lump sum to the estate in the case of an employee's death while in service.
Income Protection Program Eligible Intel Ireland employees absent due to illness or injury for more than 26 weeks may be referred to the income protection program, through which a portion of the employee's salary would be paid.
Business Travel Accident Insurance Intel Ireland provides business travel accident coverage for all employees at no cost.
Holidays
Regular full time Intel Ireland employees are entitled to approximately 9 statutory public holidays each year.
Vacation Time
- Regular Work Week - Employees working a regular work week are entitled to 21 days annual leave per year, employees receive one extra day for every two years of service up to a maximum of 24 days with 6 years of service.
- Compressed Work Week (CWW) - Employees working the CWW receive 4 working weeks (14 days) holidays per year for the first 2 years of service (Jan 1 - Dec 31). Extra service hours are applied after 2 years of service (7.8 extra hours for every 2 years of service up to a maximum of 23.4 hours after 6 years of service).
Extended Leave Program
Intel Ireland offers employees the opportunity to assign some of their annual leave to a Holiday Savings Bank. Depending on job and shift, employees may allocate up to 4 days or shifts each year to the holiday bank. At the end of five years, with a manager's approval, an employee may take these holidays along with annual leave as an eight-or nine-week extended vacation.
Leaves of Absence
Intel Ireland provides a variety of paid and unpaid employee leave programs to promote work/life balance. Examples include sick and hospitalization leave; bereavement leave; maternity, paternity, parental, and family leaves; personal leave.
Canteens
Intel Ireland offers subsidized canteens to its employees. On-site canteens operate twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week.
Recreation
To encourage fitness and better health, Intel Ireland features a fully equipped gym on-site to accommodate employees' exercise needs.
Employee Discount Program
Intel Ireland's "Club Intel" offers employee discounts with participating hotels, restaurants and other vendors.
