Intel's benefits plans are designed to keep employees—our most important asset—healthy and productive. Our benefits are generous and personalized, in many cases letting employees choose the options that are right for themselves and their family.
Intel India employees receive comprehensive medical benefits both in India and while traveling. Medical, maternity and dental benefits are available for eligible dependents on a shared premium basis.
Intel India employees participate in a compulsory program to provide funds for their retirement years, or for their dependents in the case of their early death. Employee contributions of 12 percent of their basic salary are matched by Intel.

All Intel India employees receive group term life insurance coverage to provide for their family's economic well-being at the time of their natural or accidental death. Terminal illness; accidental disbursement (loss of limb, ear, eye, or power of speech within 180 days of an accident); and temporary or permanent total disability benefits are provided. Supplemental coverage is provided for accidental death that may occur while on business travel.
Vacation/Leave Time
Employees receive 15 working days of leave per calendar year for their first two years with Intel, and 20 days of leave per calendar year during each successive year to pursue recreational interests and enhance family/personal life.
Sick Leave
Employees can take short-term medical leave up to a maximum of ten (10) days per calendar year for minor illness; and long-term medical leave up to a maximum of thirty (30) days per calendar year for major ailments.
Public Holiday Leave
Intel India observes 12 paid public or festival holidays each year.
Maternity Leave
In the case of pregnancy, Intel India allows each female employee a paid maternity leave of 84 days.
Paternity Leave
Male employees can enjoy up to a maximum of three (3) working days paid leave. Paternity leave should be availed within a month of the child's birth.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their eligible dependents confidential and convenient access to short-term professional counseling services at no cost.
Recreation
Intel India employees can avail themselves of controlled-access gym facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Gratuity Program
Intel India employees who work for Intel for a period of more than five years are eligible for gratuity payouts upon separation. The payouts are calculated on the basis of 15 days basic pay for each completed year of service.
