Medical and Dental Benefits
 
Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
Intel Hong Kong employees receive comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care benefits both at home and while traveling. This includes supplementary major medical insurance, which reimburses medical expenses in excess of the maximum benefit reimbursement under the hospitalization and surgical benefit.
Maternity Medical Benefits
A cash benefit is granted to either a confirmed male or female employee upon the birth of his or her baby.
 
Pension Program
 
Intel Hong Kong employees may supplement the mandatory Provident Fund with additional voluntary contributions. Intel's contribution varies by employee's length of service to a maximum of 10 percent.
 
Life and Accident Insurance
 
All Intel Hong Kong employees are provided with life insurance coverage to provide for their family's economic well-being in the event of an employee's death. Supplemental coverage is provided for accidental death that may occur while on business travel, for loss of sight or disablement, or for permanent disability as the result of an accident.
 
Paid Time Off
 
Vacation Time
Intel Hong Kong employees receive vacation time based on length of service. Beginning in their first year, employees receive 15 days of vacation; this increases to a maximum of 20 days by the ninth year of service. Maximum accumulated vacation time cannot exceed 24 days.
Paid Employee Leave
Intel Hong Kong provides a variety of paid employee leave programs to promote work/life balance. Examples include sick leave; compassionate leave, in the event of a family member's death; marriage, maternity, and paternity leaves; and leaves of absence.
Holidays
Intel Hong Kong gives 12 statutory holidays as per Employment Ordinance and some additional public holidays per year.
 
Other Benefits
 
Employee Assistance Program
Intel contracts with an independent assistance service to help employees manage life's challenges. Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees and their dependents have confidential and convenient access to short-term professional counseling services at no cost.
Rental Reimbursement
Eligible Intel Hong Kong employees may claim rental expenses of up to 40 percent of their annual remuneration in accordance with Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department guidelines.
 
 
Stock Purchase Plan
The Stock Purchase Plan allows employees to purchase Intel stock at a discount through payroll deductions, from two to five percent of eligible pay. Stock is purchased at 85 percent of Intel's stock price at the lower of the beginning or ending of a subscription period. Employees use the plan for short-term savings goals or long-term investment needs.
