 Women in the Workforce

At Intel, the opportunities for women in the workforce and the chance for progression and advancement can be limitless. Our emphasis to draw upon the valuable skills, talents and life experiences of women reflect our commitment to make Intel the workplace of choice.
Opportunities to progress
Many women at Intel serve in key leadership positions, such as vice president or director of major divisions. Progression and advancement in both position and responsibility are encouraged. The following opportunities are available for all employees. Additional programs have been developed to enhance the advancement and growth opportunities for women in specific job categories and career paths.
Education
Continuous improvement is important at Intel and our employees are offered a broad range of Intel University classes. Each year our 80,000 plus employees register for sessions over 600,000 times, taking advantage of great educational and training courses taught by external instructors and over 9,500 volunteer employee instructors. These insightful courses offer an exceptional way to sharpen skills and minds.
Mentoring
Intel has a corporate-wide mentoring program open to all employees. Some locations have additional mentoring programs for women. These programs are a rewarding way to develop relationships with leaders and fellow employees, and to gain new skills and perspectives on issues facing women in the workforce.
Speakers and Development
Some sites feature a career speaker series, in which guest speakers focus on both career and personal issues, including technology and work/life balance. At some sites, courses are held to teach women the components of great development planning, how to use your voice for success and how to manage your personal finances and plan for retirement.
Women at Intel Network
The Women at Intel Network (WIN) employee group is a valuable resource, where membership is open to anyone, exposing members to a diverse group of individuals, thoughts, perspectives and networking opportunities. The WIN charter strives to foster an environment where growth is maximized and learning is a constant.
Sponsorships
WIN provides exciting ways for members to get involved in the community around them. As a sponsor of Engineering Week, WIN partners with groups such as the Society of Women Engineers and Institute for Women and Technology to give more visibility to engineering programs. WIN provides mentors to youth at Intel Computer Clubhouses, supports Intel's "Bring Your Kids to Work Day", and sponsors our Women's History Month observations, which offers members exciting ways to get involved in many activities celebrating women who have made history, inside and outside of Intel.
