Medical Benefits
 
Intel Costa Rica offers comprehensive medical coverage that provides employees cost-effective and flexible health care. Twenty-four-hour nurse service and part-time general medical services are available in an on-site infirmary. Intel and employees share the cost of employee and dependent health care coverage.
 
Retirement
 
The Costa Rica national pension plan provides for both individual and employer contributions to an employee's Social Security.
 
Life and Accident Insurance
 
To provide for their family's economic well-being, eligible Intel Costa Rica employees receive life insurance benefits at no cost. Intel also provides Business Travel Accident coverage at no cost.
 
Paid Time Off
 
Vacation Time
All employees enjoy two weeks (10 days) of vacations every year to pursue recreational interests and enhance family/personal life. Other criteria applies to employees working on a compressed work schedule.
Anniversary Paid Days Off
After the first year of working at Intel Costa Rica, employees receive one additional paid day off for every year worked, up to five additional days. Upon their 10-year- anniversary, employees will be granted an additional five anniversary days per year, for a total of 10 Anniversary paid days off.
Paid Employee Leave
Intel Costa Rica provides a variety of paid employee leave programs to promote work/life balance. Examples include sick and hospitalization leave; bereavement leave, in the event of a family death; marriage, maternity, paternity, parental, and family leaves; study/educational leaves; and personal leaves.
Holidays
Employees on a regular work schedule are entitled to 11 holidays per year. Employees on a compressed work week schedule are entitled to 9 holidays per year.
Flexible Work Arrangements
Intel Costa Rica employees may be able to take advantage of flexible work arrangements if their job scope allows and if they have their manager's approval. Options include:
  • Telecommuting: Remote work from other locations
  • Flexible schedules: Different ways to accommodate regular shift schedule that allow employees to meet their work deliverables while balancing their time for other personal matters.
  • Unpaid leaves of absence: Unpaid time off for important personal matters, e.g. educational purposes.

Recreation
The Intel Costa Rica site features a soccer field, track field, basketball court, showers, and changing rooms.
Meal (Cafeteria) Subsidy
Intel Costa Rica offers all employees a cafeteria subsidy.
Solidarity Association (ASINTEL)
Solidarism is a well-established collaborative movement of employers and employees in the Costa Rican work environment. Intel's Solidarity Association of Employees of Costa Rica (ASINTEL) brings important benefits to employees, particularly in the areas of education, health, and housing.
Shuttle Service
Intel Costa Rica provides a subsidized shuttle service for employees that travel in from distant locations.
Banking Services
On-site banking is available to Intel Costa Rica employees. The same bank that manages Intel's payroll operates a branch office and two ATM machines.
