Fast Facts: The Site
Intel opened an office in Bogotá in 1997 to serve as the sales and support center for all Colombia. In recent years the territory has grown to cover the Andinian Region
comprising Perú, Ecuador and Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean. Employees working at this office provide world-class sales and support at the OEM, developer and end-user levels.
The primary responsibilities for Intel's sales and marketing team in Colombia include:
- Delivering innovative products to consumer and OEM markets
- Driving Intel's initiatives, technologies, products and services into the marketplace
- Creating demand for Intel's products
- Driving the market to recognize Intel's role in the Internet at the OEM, developer, and end-user levels
Caring for our planet and inspiring the next generation
Intel Colombia has created a higher education program unmatched in its country. This program is dedicated to developing two areas (VSLI Design, or digital design, and e-Business) at
two of the most important universities in the country, Universidad Javeriana and Universidad de los Andes. This effort consists of equipment donation and curriculum review.
Intel Colombia employees have supported technology education through the Intel®
Teach Program. Through this program, which uses the latest technologies, Intel employees train primary and high-school teachers to use technology effectively in the classroom.
