Engineering Overview Process and Yield Engineering Design Automation and Cad Engineering Hardware and Software Product Development Component Design and Validation

Intel employs the most advanced chip-manufacturing technology, enabling microprocessors with increased capabilities and performance. Our process and yield engineers drive improvements in semiconductor manufacturing in worldwide network of fabrication facilities. Process engineers develop the most efficient methods for semiconductor manufacturing using state-of-the-art equipment and materials. Yield engineers work closely with process engineers to improve product yield and to troubleshoot process flow from root causes to equipment tuning. Together, engineering teams in this area take a demanding set of functions—over 300 steps—and turn it into the computing technology that makes the world work.

What you'll do

  • Design and plan the layout processes, including hardening, and etching.
  • Conduct tests and measurements through all stages of production.
  • Establish and submit processing requirements for new equipment.
  • Conduct data and root cause analysis with a focus on product yield improvement.
  • Develop inline metrology detection capabilities to 90, 65, and 45nm.

What you'll bring

  • Typical degrees include BS, MS, or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, materials science, optics, chemistry and chemical engineering.
  • Critical data analysis skills.
  • Engineering analysis software proficiency.
  • Ability to summarize complex data sets for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • At least 1-5 years of experience in semiconductor process technology preferred.
  • Working knowledge of processing and product testing basics preferred.
  • Integrated-circuit fabrication knowledge (lithography, diffusion, thin films, etch, metallization, CVD, and planarization).
