Córdoba, Argentina has been home to Intel's Software Development Center (ASDC) since May of 2006. To address the aggressive growth of the center, we are looking for people around the world—both recent graduates and experienced professionals—who want to make an impact, increase their knowledge and expertise, and grow their own careers. Opportunities are also available for software talent to define software industry standards through R&D efforts and assisting with new products.
ASDC is now almost 100 employees strong and, with the move to our new Garden Center location in October 2007, we now have room for nearly 80 more. This new site includes an Intel standard lab/data center, which can host up to 600 servers, and features an 1,100 square foot workbench area for engineers to develop and test.
Initially, our main software focus will be on developing infrastructure software for supporting Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) based applications including XML processing, Web services protocols and Web services security. In the future, ASDC activities will include performance optimization for Intel architectures, developing middleware software for supporting digital health applications and creating software to address local market requirements.
Software development includes general purpose libraries, application management modules, user interfaces, application development tools and frameworks, and hardware-optimized components using computer languages such as .Net, Java, C#, C++, C and assembler.
