Intel Ireland includes two facilities located in Leixlip and Shannon. Ireland is Intel's centre of manufacturing excellence in Europe. Intel Ireland is a major source for the manufacture of high speed Pentium® 4 support chips and the latest Flash technology using leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes. The site also includes a Technical Customer Support Network that is focused on customer quality and reliability engineering and warrantee exchange programmes for all the European, Middle East and African customer base. Intel Shannon is home to Intel Communications Europe and the Shannon Business Center, which provides divisional business, as well as technical and marketing support for European customers and field sales. Intel Shannon also encompasses the Shannon Development Center, the European research and development arm of Intel's Network Processing Division.

Intel Ireland is committed to making a positive contribution to its community and environment, efforts for which it has been awarded numerous times. It is also strongly dedicated to supporting education through the many initiatives of Intel Ireland's Intel in Education efforts.

In the national "Best Companies to Work for in Ireland" recognition, Intel Ireland won the overall national Diversity Award for "presenting new and effective ways to promote diversity in the workplace." In addition, Intel Ireland came in second as the best company to work for in Ireland in the 1000+ employee category and was one of four companies, from a pool of 150, short-listed for the "Excellence in Lifelong Learning" award. The lifelong learning award recognizes Intel’s commitment to further employee development through training programs and educational opportunities.
