Through the Intel Involved programme, employees are encouraged to improve the quality of life in their communities by becoming involved in a wide range of projects including teaching computer applications, environmental projects, painting and refurbishing community buildings, assisting with youth and senior citizen groups and assisting local charities.
The Intel Involved programme identifies community projects and facilitates employee involvement on a voluntary basis in community and educational projects. In the last 10 years Intel employees volunteered over 160,000 hours to community and education related projects and an average of 35% of our employees volunteer at least once each year.
All projects are advertised internally and employees are encouraged to pick projects where they can put their knowledge and experience to work to the advantage of the local community.
Intel Involved is a further way by which we can make a positive contribution to the local community and we are very proud to have done so in such a significant way over the last number of years. Our ongoing goal is to continue to increase employee's participation in the programme and be a good neighbour by adding value to our local community.
